The Fuse

Lights the idea, and sometimes the room

You think by arguing, and you will take the opposite side purely to find out whether the first side holds. New possibilities energise you far more than existing commitments, which makes you excellent at starting and unreliable at maintaining.

Pontos fortes

  • Generates more usable ideas per hour than anyone in the room
  • Reframes a stuck problem so that it stops being stuck
  • Unafraid of a powerful person's bad argument

Pontos cegos

  • Wins the exchange and loses the person
  • Abandons a good thing because a shinier thing appeared
  • Mistakes a serious moment for an interesting one

Em cada papel

On my own

Six projects, three tabs each

Alone, your head is loud. You start things constantly and finish them selectively, and your enthusiasm at the beginning is completely genuine even though it rarely survives to the middle. Boredom is your real enemy, not difficulty.

O que funciona aqui

  • Learns an entire field quickly when it catches you
  • Reinvents your own routine whenever it goes stale

Onde trava

  • The graveyard of half-finished things grows quietly
  • Restlessness gets treated as a signal to change something that was working

Uma coisa para experimentar

Before starting anything new, close one open loop. Trade, do not accumulate.

With my partner

Never boring, occasionally exhausting

You keep a relationship alive with novelty - new places, new arguments, new plans at midnight. You are playful and openly affectionate. What you underrate is that stability is not the opposite of love, and your partner may be craving it.

O que funciona aqui

  • Keeps the relationship curious and unpredictable in a good way
  • Recovers from conflict fast, without holding a grudge

Onde trava

  • Debating for sport in an argument that was actually about hurt
  • Routine reads as decline, so you disrupt things that were fine

Uma coisa para experimentar

When they say something painful, do not test it. Ask one question and then be quiet.

At work

The one who says the thing in the meeting

You question the premise of the project, out loud, in front of the person whose project it is. Often you are right. You are strongest at the front of a piece of work and weakest once it becomes maintenance and reporting.

O que funciona aqui

  • Kills a bad plan before it burns a quarter
  • Finds a route nobody had considered when the obvious route closes

Onde trava

  • The challenge is heard as an attack more often than you realise
  • Leaves the finishing work to whoever cares about finishing

Uma coisa para experimentar

State what you like about the plan first. It costs one sentence and buys the whole objection a hearing.

As someone's kid

The one who argued back

You questioned family authority early and openly, and it probably went badly at least once. As an adult you are warm and funny with your parents, and you still cannot let an inaccurate story go unchallenged at the dinner table.

O que funciona aqui

  • Brings energy and humour into a family that may run on routine
  • Says the unsaid thing that everyone was walking around

Onde trava

  • Correcting a parent turns a nice evening into an old fight
  • Irregular contact reads as indifference

Uma coisa para experimentar

Let the wrong version of the story stand. It is not the hill, and it is barely a slope.

As a parent

The parent who makes things interesting

Your children get spontaneity, jokes, real conversation and a house where questions are welcome. What they may not reliably get is a predictable bedtime or a rule that survives a good counterargument.

O que funciona aqui

  • Takes children seriously as thinking people
  • Makes ordinary days feel like something is happening

Onde trava

  • Rules bend under negotiation, so children learn to negotiate everything
  • Enthusiasm for the new leaves routine chores to someone else

Uma coisa para experimentar

Choose the handful of rules that do not open for debate, and never reopen them.

With my friends

The best three hours of anyone's week

You are the friend people leave energised - the conversation goes somewhere strange and good. You are also hard to pin down, and you cancel late more than you admit. The people who love you have learned to catch you when you appear.

O que funciona aqui

  • Makes any gathering better simply by being at it
  • Genuinely interested in what a friend thinks, not just how they are

Onde trava

  • Cancels or drifts, and warmth in person does not fully cover it
  • Pushes a debate past the point where a friend stopped enjoying it

Uma coisa para experimentar

Keep the plan you already made, especially on the day you would rather not.
